The venue
Galu Seaside stands on the seafront at Oroklini Beach, just outside Larnaca. Its indoor and outdoor spaces all look onto the water, and a civil ceremony can be held at the venue itself, so the whole day can happen in one place.
It is a large venue, able to seat up to 500 guests, and it is about half an hour from Ayia Napa and Protaras.
Why it films well
The sea is behind everything: the ceremony, the terrace, the tables. The sky is open, and the light softens as the evening comes in.
We have filmed here several times and know how the day moves, from the first arrivals on the terrace to the last dance by the shore.
Filming by the sea
A beach brings wind and bright midday sun. Vows and speeches are recorded with dedicated microphones so the words stay clear, and portraits are planned for the softer light late in the day.
