What is in a wedding film? Highlight, feature, documentary and teaser

The different films a wedding can give you, what each one is for, and how to choose the coverage that fits your day.

The short films

The teaser is a minute or so, cut to music and made to share the week after the wedding. The highlight film, four to six minutes, keeps the key moments and the feeling of the day: the preparations, the ceremony, the portraits and the party, edited like a short film.

The extended film, seven to nine minutes, tells the same story at a gentler pace, with more room for your vows and the words of your family and friends.

The long films

The feature film, ten to fifteen minutes, is the whole day told from beginning to end, made to be watched together for years. With it, your ceremony and speeches can be edited in full, so every word is kept, not only the best lines.

The documentary, about an hour, follows the day as it happened, lightly edited, for the family who want to see everything again.

Drone and sound

Aerial drone footage shows the place: the sea, the village, the venue in its landscape. It is filmed where the venue and the weather allow.

Sound matters as much as the picture. Wireless microphones for the vows, and venue audio for the speeches, are what make a wedding film feel like your day and not only a music video.

How to choose

Start from your day, not the film. Up to about 6 hours of coverage suits an intimate wedding or the ceremony and the portraits. Seven to eight hours takes you from getting ready to the first dance. Ten hours, with two cinematographers, covers the morning to the party and gives the feature film.

Every collection is quoted personally around your date and venue. Choose the one closest to your day and we will shape it with you.
